Health Services Research Demographics Survey

To our authors, reviewers, and editors:

We're pleased to announce that Health Services Research is launching a demographics survey in July 2023. If you've submitted, reviewed, or edited HSR manuscripts in the last 5 years, you'll receive an email from the journal asking you to complete the brief online survey.

This activity is part of our efforts, with the Health Research & Educational Trust, to focus on equity at our journal; this work is described in more detail in our 2022 report. Our main interest in collecting demographic data on HSR editors, authors, and reviewers is tracking the diversification of our editorial team, reviewers, commenters, contributors, and others involved with HSR to ensure our journal represents the entire health services research community.

We thank all who contributed to the report and subsequent actions, including our editorial board and Bianca Frogner, PhD, for their guidance in the development of our survey.
