Senior Scientist - Health Services Research

Essentia Institute of Rural Health

Full-time, permanent position with dedicated salary support

Responsibilities:

Designs, develops, obtains funding for and directs ongoing research programs comprising of multiple, coordinated research, and/or evaluation projects in order to contribute to knowledge about rural health and healthcare delivery.  Relevant areas of investigation include health services research, public health, health promotion, aging/geriatric health, rural health, end-of-life care, cardiovascular diseases, community/population studies, women't health, minority health, disease/injury prevention, cancer and community trials.  Functions as Principal Investigator.  Provides research assistance and consultation to Essentia Health physicians and other investigators.   Collaborates with external investigators and academic centers in health services research or related research.  Focus areas in comparative effectiveness research and outcomes research.

Requirements:

Doctoral Degree in relevant field
Strong record of grant-supported research and publication in health services research
Experience and leadership skills in the design and development of substantial research programs

Essentia Institute of Rural Health (EIRH)
